Description

Celebrate Mexico with the greatest Mexican painter of the 20th century. Diego Rivera created murals and paintings that tell of the rich history of Mexico. Brilliant colors and bold shapes poured from the brushes of Mexico’s most famous muralist! He painted giant murals to forcefully express his opinions on society and life. Your audience will see the incredible Alameda Park mural at 17 feet long in full, glorious color! Whether or not we agree with his views, was his method of getting them across effective? Would it still work today?

Brightly colored images on lightweight satin fabric are easy to install from any drop ceiling. The exhibit includes: Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park, detail of mural, 1948; The Agitator, detail of mural, 1926; and El Vendedor De Alcatraces, painting, 1942.
